Triglav National Park
SloveniaType:Natural
Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia and one of the oldest in Europe. Named after Mount Triglav (2,864 m)—the highest peak in the Julian Alps and a national symbol—the park covers over 800 km² of pristine alpine landscape. Visitors can explore glacial valleys, high mountain plateaus, clear rivers, and diverse wildlife, including chamois, marmots, and golden eagles (it shelters over 7,000 animal species and 1,600 plant species). It’s a paradise for hiking, mountaineering, photography, and simply soaking in untouched nature.
